It's A Jungle Out There

Well the trade activity continues to swirl around. With the Thrashers there have been a few tidbits that are interesting.

  • Per Ben Wright - Kubina and Afinogenov not an option for trades - Club working on extensions with both (hinted at being close on Kubina)
  • Mueller in play for Atlanta per several sources on Twitter
  • Ron Hainsey pulled off ice early in practice - Supposedly this has nothing to do with a trade (but anything is possible)
  • Jay Grossman linked a Russian news article about Kozlov - He's not happy, he and Ilya told Anderson to only roll 3 lines instead of 4. He didn't like that management made the statement that we hadn't won anything while Kovy was here (Didn't know the truth was so hard to swallow)
  • Rumor is that Atlanta's aquired 1st round pick from NJ would be in play for the right player
  • Chris Chelios cleared waivers
More to come I'm sure...I'll keep updating as the day goes along

**Update**

Peter Mueller ended up going in a trade with Colorado in exchange for Wolski.

The Viv is tweeting that nothing imminent for Thrashers at this time

**Update Redux**

It looks like the last move of the day for the Thrashers will be the acquisition of LW Clark McArthur for our 3rd and 4th pick of this upcoming draft. Give me a little bit of time to do some analysis on the trade and I'll weigh in with a new post.

Several decent moves around the NHL most likely the trade of the day and the big scorer was Phoenix in getting Wolski.
